2LT Dave Chapman, graduated with a BS in University Studies and commisioned through the BYUI Army ROTC program in Dec. 2007 into the Adgutant General Corps. Currently, 2LT Chapman is Active Duty and has attend BOLC II at Ft. Benning and is currently at AGOBC at Ft. Jackson,SC. He is due to graduate from OBC on 1 Aug 2008. Furthermore, upon completion of OBC 2LT Chapman will join his unit down in Killeen,TX and is slated to be the Assistant BDE S1. His unit expects to deploy next spring 2009 to Iraq. In conjuction with his duties and resposibilities 2LT Chapman is working on a second undergrad in Psychology through Troy State. 2LT Chapman was recently married this past May of 2008. He and his wife Lasah are excited as they await to see where lifes journey takes them in the Army. His greatest job satisfaction comes from taking care of troops and families in the army. His goals are continue to defend and serve in the military and work on a masters through Gonzaga University.

1LT Hyrum Garvin

Hyrum has been deployed since the first week of February, so he is going on his 6th month. He was fortunate enough to step right into a platoon leader slot upon arriving in theatre. He is 2nd platoon leader in Charlie Troop 3BCT 101st ABN. The area is pretty quiet, but things have really started to pick up this last month. He was promoted to 1LT just a couple days ago. Before deployment he was at Fort Benning, GA for a while going through BOLC II, IOBC, and Ranger School. Unfortunatley, he had a mishap in ABN School and tore some shoulder ligaments which resulted in some reconstructive surgery. But everything is good now.
